Away from the Flock

by Damien Hirst

Die Art Muffels@artmuffels

A preserved lamb displayed in a vitrine (glass and steel tank) filled with formaldehyde solution. Created in 1994, this work is one of Hirst's iconic 'Natural History' series, exploring themes of life, death, innocence, and religion. The lamb is suspended in the clear liquid, appearing almost alive yet frozen in time.
